Welcome to Design of Liquid

We love looking into the essence of liquid.
Waterdrops, refractions, flowing liquid, ice crystals and snowflakes alike, we started this group with focus on a macro and closeup views of this wonderful element, which is so gentle, relaxing and reflective, and yet so powerful in it's design and properties.

We expanded our interests to include all artwork that explores water, either visually or conceptually. Whether it's a waterscape, underwater environment, weather, photomanipulation, digital or traditional artwork, as long as it meaningfully incorporates liquid and it's properties, it will find home in our galleries.

Please read this design-of-liquid.deviantart.co… for all the guidelines on submission, joining and workings of the group.

Enjoy and welcome

HOW TO SUBMIT A PHOTO

Members can submit 2 photos a day.

To submit one of your pictures, please go to our Gallery

Once you are there, please choose the appropriate folder and in the top righthand corner, you will see a button "Submit to this folder".
Click on it and you can submit a new work, or something you already have in your Gallery.

NOTE: If you submit the photo, do not remove it later. Anyone found to be using our group purely to get comments and faves and later remove their work, will be banned without warning.

If sumbitting to Macro or Waterscapes - the photo must be entirely shot by you. NO STOCK PHOTOS ALLOWED!

If submitting to Photomanipulation/Traditional art folder - all your stock resources must be declared.

Also, NO DEVART WATERMARKS! We feel they are too distracting, so we created a tutorial design-of-liquid.deviantart.co… on how to create your own watermark instead.

Please note that the Group admins vote on all submissions.
For more information, read our Submission Guidelines here design-of-liquid.deviantart.co…

:iconphotofairy: FOUNDER

I am a macro photographer with great appreciacion for all forms of art, but water droplets are my passion. Currently living in England and focusing on writing, I love coming to dA daily to appreciate visual art.

:iconannakirsten: CO-FOUNDER

I live in UK and my two specialties here on dA are fractal art and photography (the latter currently to be found on my Annaphotix account.
These are not the sum total of my artistic experience however. I used to do traditional art, particularly scenery, mostly in oils. Pen and wash and also pencil work were two other things I enjoyed. I am afraid there is virtually nothing to show for any of that as they were either sold or given away as presents, or they were lost in the process of moving from one place to the other (which happened a lot in my earlier life). In these latter years, I have had to concentrate on digital art because my health, and the most simple form of that for me is to mess around with Ultra-Fractal (complicated enough in itself!) Even my photography is on hold at this time, and doing digital drawing/painting really exhausts me so I don't do it.
I also came from a family of professional artists and musicians - all classically trained and qualified. So I grew up with art, sculptures, wood-carvings and pottery, all accompanied by wonderful music! When I was leaving school I had to choose between three things for my future career: music, art or nursing. I could have specialised in any one of these at the time, and I enjoyed them all equally for different reasons. In the end nursing won the day, as I was advised to "at least get something stable under my belt to fall back on in hard times" but I eventually had to give up the nursing career due to whiplash injury in 1984.
It may be of interest to know that I produced 5 CD's of relaxation and meditation music at the start of the '90's after I had gone down with debilitating chronic illness.

I live in Slovenia and am a student of French and Polish languages and literature. I speak several languages fluently and am interested in psychology, photography, photomanipulation, drawing, hairdressing, translating, playing pool, watching movies, listening to different kinds of music and also writing movie critiques and poems.

We are still waiting for Ingo to tell us what to put here, for he is a man of few words.
Perhaps best go and see his gallery, the water art in there is truly magnificent and speaks for itself

:icondemonmathiel:

Wishing to keep an air of mistery, the only thing Matti said about himself here was:
"I'm.. I"m a... I'mmm...a...a Demon :devilish: "

We would also like to add that he is a Conceptual gallery CV, an awesome macro and conceptual photographer himself, capable of depicting most sublime colours and atmosphere, and that he loves cats :D
